Myth

Claim: The IRS specifically targeted "conservative" organizations for review of their tax-exempt status while leaving liberal organizations alone.

Example

• "IRS got its budget cut because they were willingly used as tools to suppress the political liberty of conservative groups. They got what they deserved."

Reality

This is completely false, and was a fake scandal created and maintained by the Republican Party with the assistance of the media.
