Rebecca covered a lot more ground in this than I expected. I knew she'd go into the scientific literature, because that's absolutely her wheelhouse, but she went beyond just the science and the immediate topic of #UBI.
TLDW: It seems clear that anyone who has looked at the evidence and still doesn't support UBI doesn't actually want to solve #poverty.
Also: Teach a woman to milk a cow, and you feed* her as long as she has access to a cow; give a woman a cow, and you feed her for life (and lift her out of poverty).
(* for a certain very flexible definition of "feed", I guess)
