Examples of wingnuttery include these claims:

  • Those who dare to draw pictures of the semi-divine protagonist in a 800-year-old storybook should be put to death.
  • Homosexuality should not be tolerated because the deity in a book whose origins date back more than two thousand years told his followers that it was "an abomination" (according to the most popular English translation)
  • We don't need to worry about climate change because a supernatural being is in charge of the climate. (Jim Inhofe)
