15:14 @K311yS 23 years for me and never a child born wrong in their body. I now work primarily with children 6 and under. They play and experiment with gender roles continuously, as is entirely natural and normal for children to do. They are all really LOVING their new body book this week! ❤

How does she know that none of them went on to develop dysphoria? Has she kept in touch with all of her students?

Maybe she never encountered an actual trans child? Maybe all the cis kids feel comfortable experimenting around her, but the trans ones don't? Maybe she carefully channels the trans ones into "experimenting", and then proudly proclaims that this is all that's needed?

The same people who now say that trans kids aren't really trans (because trans is just a political fad) and just need more freedom to express themselves --

  • 10-20 years ago would have been strongly against gender-role experimentation because it might "turn kids gay"
  • 20-30 years ago would have been horrified at a boy wearing a dress
  • 50-60 years ago would have been shocked at a boy with long hair
  • in the middle ages, would have executed a girl for having short hair and refusing to wear dresses (see Joan d'Arc)

That said, I'm glad she's encouraging them to experiment.
