CWRE's mission is to correct widespread misunderstandings about factual matters, especially with regard to how those understandings shape and influence individual political positions.

Its intended audiences are:

  • wingnuts of all varieties
  • those who sacrifice their personal time and sanity attempting to argue with same

The context is assumed to be the United States, since the US has become internationally infamous for the depth and dangerousness of its wingnuttery. (Other countries have wingnuts, and even wingnuts in high places, but they don't have anything even remotely approaching the US's military budget or international influence.)
