The Bryan Fischer Award is given frequently by blogger Ed Brayton to "those who display a breathtaking lack of self-awareness, accusing their enemies of their own worst sins and being completely oblivious to their own contradictions."[1] It is named after Distinguished Wingnut Bryan Fischer.
Recent receipients include:
- 2015-11-02: David Barton, for his stellar reality-inversion in claiming that conservatives, unlike liberals, "don't want to speak until they feel like they’ve mastered the facts."
- 2015-01-18: Tony Perkins, for his 2015-01-14 radio show (via Right Wing Watch) in which he declares that Islam is wrong because it's a judicial, economic, and political philosophy rather than a religion deserving of equal protection.[1]
(This is a very incomplete list; Brayton has given this award out dozens of times.)
