About
Variants on the phrase Ideological motivation are often used to dismiss an opposing position without examining it, i.e. an argument by label. It implies, without stating it up front, that the goals behind this motivation are at best arbitrary, and possibly intended solely to serve the interests of some power-group.
Variants:
- "ideologically motivated"
- "ideological thinking"
