Reality

• Sweden, noted for its socialist policies, is doing just fine; it remains "the seventh-richest country in the world in terms of GDP (gross domestic product) per capita and a high standard of living is experienced by its citizens."
• Germany has a comprehensive social security system that includes the world's oldest universal health care system, both of which are often derided as "socialist".
